Electra Gets Flooring

As I alluded to in the last post, some rooms didn’t have the flooring we wanted and carpet was the immediate solution. The bedroom off the dining room, Guest Room 1 (which shall be named something more fun…) had all that subfloor. We walked on it for awhile to the bathroom, then I got some cheap runners to not walk on the pokey subfloor, then we finally went to a flooring store and picked out carpet. We also picked out SUPER FUN flooring for the Sunroom! We went to a local flooring shop not too far from the house, they were able to fit us into the schedule in about a week and the coolest guys ever did the install. Great experience all in all! I’ve always been a super DIY-er and hiring professionals for certain things has been uncomfortable and awesome all at the same time. Can I put down sticky tile? All day long. Can I lay carpet and sheet vinyl? Nope.

(The pics don’t do this justice - it’s a SUPER bold cobalt blue and just so fun! It’s very outside my comfort zone, this was all J’s pick.)
